Land Raider

A bastion of bonded ceramite and adamantium armour plating and awesome weaponry, as well as sporting powerful engines, the Land Raider is the tank that the highly feared across the galaxy and rightly so.

Each Land Raider is a highly versatile machine, capable of engaging a multitude of enemies easily, as well as delivering a squad into enemy held territory safely, the Land Raider can perform any task that it can be called upon to perform.

However, it is not just the armoured might that a Land Raider can bring, for it is a terror weapon in of its-self and the sight of a Land Raider advancing upon the foes has previously caused defenders to simply throw down arms rather then face the punishing weaponry of the Land Raider, or the wrath of the deadly cargo nestled deep inside.

In battle, Land Raiders often form the crux of any armoured assault, fully capable of handling the multitude of battlefield roles from line breaker, command and control centre and armoured bulwark and few other vehicles offer the Fists of Flame Masters of War such adaptability.

Land Raider's are far from just simple implements of war, for each Land Raider is a relic of ages past, each currently serving Land Raider within the armoury having served since the Chapter's inception through careful administration to its machine spirit and countless repairs to its weaponry, armour and track units although this is a small price to pay for the loss of a single Land Raider would be immense.

Due to the proclivity of the Fists of Flame for entrusting their anti-tank support to their own armoured support, the Fists of Flame have yet to embrace the various variants of the Land Raider that have become available, such as the Redeemer and Crusader.

However, the Fists of Flame have embraced one variant that has accepted widespread significant attention by the Chapter's Techmarines. The Land Raider Dominator mounts the usual anti-tank Godhammer-pattern lascannons as well as demolisher cannon mounted high on the hull that enables it to smash open fortifications with ease, allowing the Fists of Flame easy access.

The Armoured Spearhead

On occasion, the Fists of Flame have launched armoured assaults when the terrain and enemy required it.

Each armoured column will typically consist of several Rhino transports, a handful of Razorbacks, a Whirlwind, several Predators and a single Land Raider to act as line breaker and armoured spearhead

Each armoured column may also feature a number of Land Speeders operating as forward scouts and rapid strike units as well as full orbital support from the Chapterís Strike Cruisers in the form of orbital bombardments and drop pod deployment should the column encounter fierce resistance.

To date, the occasions for such armoured warfare have been few and far between, but the Chapter prepares continually for every eventuality.
