Like so many of the former loyalists originating from the Fists of Flame Chapter, Torsk was there during the Second War for Tarsiss III (798.M38). However, Torsk embraced the plight inflicted upon him by Damius and willingly pledged his soul and his life to Grandfather Nurgle.

Since that day, Torsk has served Damius, leading smaller Nurgle attacks when Damius deems an engagement too small or trivial to have the personal attention of the Carrion Lord. In this role, Torsk has won a great many personal victories and garnered favour with his patron Lord.

Within the ranks of the Plague Wind, Torsk is seen as one of the Plague Brothers, a guarded and secretive sect within the Plague Wind, held aloft above the common soldiers and loyal to Damius and Nurgle to the exclusion of all else.

There were rumours rife throughout Gip'Sum that Damius had created Torsk through genetic engineering and many have noted the passing resemblance between Damius and Torsk.

If that is true, then Damius would of also had the chance to augment Torsk with a number of abilities that Damius himself lacks and it is Torsk's remarkable ability to starve off wounds and his keen ability to regenerate damage has saved his life on many an occasions.

One such occasion was on Nimbosa, where Torsk became the sole target for a pack of ravenous Dark Eldar warp beasts, and Torsk' sheer robustness and toughness starved off a great many attacks. Torsk suffered a deep throat wound, and as he lay there bleeding out, Torsk's own body stemmed the flow of blood by healing the wide gash in the tissue, sealing the wound as surely as any Apothecary ever could.

Lieutenant Daemin

Daemin, a warrior of Lord Damius, was amongst the number that led a vicious boarding action against the Emperorís Storm in late M39. After fighting their way through to the ships torpedoe stowage area, Daemin prepared the charges to explode. Leaving his most trusted Champion to oversee the arming sequence, Daemin led a strike onto the shipís bridge.

Shortly before destroying the shipís navigation console, Daemin set the vesselís course and heading to strike at the heart of the Tilorn sector, the primary Hive city of Tigris one the world of Tigris IV. As the ship accelerated towards the planet, defence pickets opened fire, causing minimal damage as the crew opened fire upon the pickets, thinking that the pickets had turned traitor.

Whilst the ship entered low orbit, itís course set, the Imperial vessel exploded. The Hive was destroyed in the explosion, and whilst it was widely believed that the Chaos worshippers had been destroyed in the explosion, the conflict on Bellef was to prove otherwise.

Special Rules:

Nurgle Disciple: Torsk is a capable leader and may be accompanied by his own handpicked retinue.

To represent this, Torsk may be accompanied by a unit of Plague Marines or by Chaos Terminators.

If he leads a squad of Plague Marines, then the following restrictions apply: the squad may not include a Plague Champion and the unit must number six or more models.

If he leads a squad of Chaos Terminators, then the following restrictions apply: the squad must have an Icon of Nurgle and must taken feel no pain (at a cost of an additional 4 points per model).

Both Torsk and the unit he leads count as a single unit for the purposes of deployment, the Force Organisation Chart and unit coherency.

Regeneration: Torsk's regenerative abilities are the stuff of legends amongst the Plague Wind.

Whenever Torsk is reduced to one Wound, at the start of each Chaos playerís turn, roll a D6. On a roll of a Ď6í, Torsk regenerates a wound. This will never take him above his starting wounds of 2, and if he is reduced to zero wounds (or killed outright - by attacks whose Strength is 8 or above), he is removed as a casualty as normal (with no special rolls etc).
