Bedlam Pods were first developed at the order of Canoness Gemiel shortly before the First War for Tarsiss III, and during that conflict, they proved to be highly effective.

Using a fusion of different technologies, including that of sonic weaponry and that of drop pod technology, Gemiel was capable of creating pods which upon deployment into a warzone would open up like a flower and immediately begin radiating the area around them with waves of sonic power, blasting part solid fortifications as the bass notes shake loose the most robust of foundations.

Enemy troops hit by such destructive harmonic frequencies are shaken to the point that they're bones liquidify or they become gibbering wrecks as their brains are thrashed around violently within their skulls, while those that are outside the immediate area are rendered deaf by the cascading sounds.

Unique Wargear:

Sonic Amp: It is only when the Bedlam Pods open after slamming into the ground that the horrific truth of their purpose becomes eveident.

Bedlam Pods are fitted with a complex array of tubes, amplifiers, and vocal generators that tap into the Warp itself for power, creating waves of pure emotion.

All models (friend or foe) without the Mark of Slaanesh within 6" of a Bedlam Pod suffers D6+3 Strength 6 hits with an AP 4. These hits ignore cover saves. All units that suffere a casuality from Bedlam Pods must also take a pinning test.

Special Rules:

Immobile: Bedlam Pods are designed to plummet to the ground and once there, to remain in place, pounding the enemy with harmonic waves of sound.

Once deployed, Bedlam Pods are treated as suffering an 'Immobilsed' damage result which cannot be repaired in any way.

Shock Weapons: Bedlam Pods are shock weapons designed to be literally fired at the enemy positions.

When a Bedlam Pod arrives by Deep Strike, it does not suffer a Deep Strike Mishap if it is deployed (before or after scatter) within 1" of an enemy model or terrain feature. Simply move the Bedlam Pod the mimimum distance required away from the enemy or terrain feature until it is outside the mimumum 1" distance.
